This is a pretty cool little “Rat Rod” 1911 I built with Jim Garthwaite. It’s a 1918 US Property frame, 1927 Colt Argentina slide, Real WWI grips and period-ish parts. The inside is a different story. Slide and frame fit has been tightened and lapped by hand. It has a Fusion non-ramped match grade barrel with polished feed. Wide spur hammer with break away style sear and trigger job and a modern trigger and bow with take up adjustment. Somebody put modern sights on the slide a long time ago. All makes for a pretty cool looking gun with Misfit parts that weren’t perfect enough for collector snobs. It shoots like a modern one with cool ass patina. I have a feeling in going to make a few of these. Perfect on my quarter sawn oak nightstand #JJFU #MadeInTexas (at Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve)
